The LAGS Battle Slovenia 2025, the National Latte Art Championship, took place on May 30th at the Barcaffè Coffee Academy, where baristas from across Slovenia showcased their skills, competing in four difficulty levels.
The winners of the categories are:
PODIUM
🟡 GOLD LEVEL: Aleš Gorenc (unchallenged).
⚫ 1st PLACE BLACK LEVEL: Eva Bogdan
🔴 1st PLACE RED LEVEL: Andrej Horvat
🟢 1st PLACE GREEN LEVEL: Jasmin Husić
In the final duels, competitors created exceptionally precise and flawless latte art patterns under time pressure, demonstrating absolute concentration and precision under the watchful eyes of the judges: Marko Podbrežnički, Toni Matas, and Aleš Gorenc.
LAGS is more than just a competition; it is an opportunity for baristas to share knowledge, inspire one another, and contribute to the growth of coffee culture in Slovenia. This year’s event confirms that latte art is becoming a recognized art form and an essential skill for baristas, raising industry standards and strengthening the community.
The tournament’s knockout format added suspense and intensity to the battles, culminating in performances of exceptional technical skill. Even without duels in the Gold Level category, the other levels delivered moments of tension and outstanding creativity.
This year’s winners are now ready to take their talent to the next level, contributing to the continuous evolution of coffee culture in Slovenia.
