The competition delivered tightly contested face-offs, precise technical execution, and impressive artworks created on the surface of each cup.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"550\" data-end=\"877\">In the battle for the prestigious cups, <strong data-start=\"590\" data-end=\"610\">Primo\u017e Miklav\u010di\u010d<\/strong> secured the <strong data-start=\"623\" data-end=\"636\">Green Cup<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"654\">Luka Bergles<\/strong> won the <strong data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"674\">Red Cup<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"694\">\u017dan Levski<\/strong> claimed the <strong data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"720\">Black Cup<\/strong> after a tense final duel. The event also highlighted the steadily rising standard of performance \u2014 a development noted by <strong data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1204\">Maja \u0160terk Primo\u017ei\u010d<\/strong>, Marketing Manager at Barcaff\u00e8 Espresso Slovenia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1256\" data-end=\"1627\">Since 2023, LAGS competitions in Slovenia have been officially organized by <strong data-start=\"1332\" data-end=\"1344\">Barcaff\u00e8<\/strong>, which has long been committed to developing barista skills and promoting high-quality coffee preparation. This year\u2019s event was supported by <strong data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1508\">Barcaff\u00e8 Espresso<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1531\">Mleko BarLatte<\/strong>, whose partnership helped ensure a professional and inspiring environment for all participants.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1629\" data-end=\"1728\">The championship was overseen by an experienced panel of LAGS- certified judges, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1947\">\n<li data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1801\">\n<p data-start=\"1732\" data-end=\"1801\"><strong data-start=\"1732\" data-end=\"1747\">Ale\u0161 Gorenc<\/strong> \u2013 LAGS Examiner and Judge, holder of the Golden Cup<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"1877\">\n<p data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1877\"><strong data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1824\">Matija Matija\u0161ko<\/strong> \u2013 LAGS Examiner and Judge, holder of the Black Cup<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1878\" data-end=\"1947\">\n<p data-start=\"1880\" data-end=\"1947\"><strong data-start=\"1880\" data-end=\"1894\">Toni Matas<\/strong> \u2013 LAGS Examiner and Judge, holder of the Black Cup<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1949\" data-end=\"2409\">Competitors faced off in three categories in a one-on-one tournament format, with judges evaluating symmetry, contrast, creativity, and overall visual impact. Under time pressure, remarkably precise and aesthetically refined designs emerged, with every movement of the hand determining who advanced to the next round. Although there was no duel in the highest category \u2014 the Golden Cup \u2014 the remaining competitors demonstrated impressive skill and originality.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2411\" data-end=\"2536\">In the <strong data-start=\"2418\" data-end=\"2431\">Green Cup<\/strong> category, first place went to <strong data-start=\"2462\" data-end=\"2482\">Primo\u017e Miklav\u010di\u010d<\/strong> from CenterCafe in Kr\u0161ko. After his victory, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2538\" data-end=\"2725\">\n<p data-start=\"2540\" data-end=\"2725\">\u201cThis is my third competition, and apparently the third time\u2019s the charm. I was really nervous in the first round and almost got knocked out. That\u2019s why this win means even more to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2727\" data-end=\"2895\">A mechanical engineer by training, he discovered the world of latte art during the pandemic and now aims to compete next year in the Red or even the Black Cup category.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2897\" data-end=\"2992\">In the <strong data-start=\"2904\" data-end=\"2915\">Red Cup<\/strong> category, <strong data-start=\"2926\" data-end=\"2942\">Luka Bergles<\/strong> from Kavarna Kino Radovljica became the champion:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2994\" data-end=\"3344\">\n<p data-start=\"2996\" data-end=\"3344\">\u201cThis win means a great deal to me, especially because I decided to compete at the very last minute. I\u2019ve been drawing on coffee for eight years. I won the Green Cup three years ago, and I\u2019ve been competing regularly ever since. I\u2019m looking forward to the world championship, where I hope to compete next year in the higher \u2014 Black Cup \u2014 category.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"3346\" data-end=\"3564\">The <strong data-start=\"3350\" data-end=\"3363\">Black Cup<\/strong> final delivered a thrilling showdown. Both finalists impressed with outstanding technique and creativity, but after a closely contested finish, the winner was <strong data-start=\"3523\" data-end=\"3537\">\u017dan Levski<\/strong> from Lena Caffe in Lenart.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"3566\" data-end=\"3873\">\n<p data-start=\"3568\" data-end=\"3873\">\u201cI\u2019m pleased with today\u2019s result and with the fact that all the effort I put into preparation has paid off. Congratulations to my opponent, who was an excellent competitor,\u201d said \u017dan after the competition, already setting his sights on the world championship and further refining his latte art techniques.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"3875\" data-end=\"4188\">The highest title, the <strong data-start=\"3898\" data-end=\"3912\">Golden Cup<\/strong>, once again remains with <strong data-start=\"3938\" data-end=\"3953\">Ale\u0161 Gorenc<\/strong>, senior barista at Barcaff\u00e8 and currently the only holder of this prestigious title in Slovenia. Although he had no challenger this year, his presence continues to set the benchmark for excellence within the Slovenian latte art scene.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"4190\" data-end=\"4568\">\n<p data-start=\"4192\" data-end=\"4568\">\u201cI\u2019m glad to see the competition grow every year and to witness more baristas obtaining LAGS certificates. The battles are becoming more intense. Competitors are returning with greater confidence and courage \u2014 both essential for a steady hand and a well-executed pattern.
