The champions of the 2026 LAGS Chile Tournament, crowned during ExpoCafé Chile, will represent the country at the World LAGS Battle 2026, taking place on November 7–8 in Gijón, Asturias (Spain). The event will bring together the world's best baristas in one of the most prestigious latte art competitions on the international circuit.

The 2026 LAGS Chile Tournament, which featured more than 35 baristas competing across different categories, concluded with the selection of the official Chilean delegation that will represent the country at the 2026 World LAGS Battle, where the world's top Latte Art Grading System (LAGS) competitors will meet in Gijón, Asturias, Spain.
Following an intense national competition, held before a packed audience from start to finish, Chile selected the three baristas who will compete in the different LAGS categories, bringing Chilean talent to the world stage.

Historic milestone: the first Black Pitcher National Final ever held in Chile.

This qualification marks a historic achievement: for the first time, Chile will be represented in the Black Pitcher category, the highest technical level within the LAGS system. This milestone reflects the remarkable progress Chilean latte art has achieved over the past few years.
The competition featured a distinguished panel of judges consisting of Andrea Onelli, Ricardo Conejera, and Giuseppe Musiu, Head Judge and Latte Art Grading System representative for Latin America, ensuring the highest standards and consistency throughout the evaluations.
The qualification highlights the outstanding technical level achieved by Chilean competitors and the continued growth of the country's specialty coffee community, which has become a benchmark for barista education and professional development.
Behind every representative lies a journey of dedication, discipline, and intensive training, supported by a community committed to advancing specialty coffee and promoting latte art excellence at both national and international levels.
Chile's participation in the 2026 World LAGS Battle is also supported by companies and institutions that actively contribute to the development of the discipline, helping local talent gain international recognition.
With this delegation, Chile aims to stand out in a competition that will bring together the world's finest latte art specialists, reaffirming the country's commitment to excellence in specialty coffee.
Please note that the Latte Art Grading System (LAGS) offices will be closed for the summer holidays from August 3 through August 30, 2026 (inclusive).
Regular office activities will resume on Monday, August 31, 2026.
