CERTIFICATION LEVELS

From White to Gold: The Structure of the Latte Art Grading System

A progressive path designed to evaluate and certify the skills of baristas in the field of Latte Art. Ogni livello rappresenta un grado crescente di difficoltà, precisione e abilità tecnica. Through this system, baristas can measure and hone their skills by taking specific practical tests that reflect the standards required for each grade.

White Grading

The first level, for beginners. It introduces basic pouring techniques and patterns such as the Heart and Tulip

Orange Grading

An intermediate level that includes figures like the Rosetta and espresso cup designs.

Green Grading

An advanced level requiring more complex pours, including the Reverse and multi-element patterns.

Red Grading

A professional level. It tests mastery of latte art through precise symmetry and multiple patterns like Double Rosettas in line.

Black Grading

An expert level, reserved for highly experienced baristas. It demands speed, precision, originality, and consistency across all figures—such as 4 Rosettas in line.

Gold Grading

The highest level, for highly specialized baristas. It requires exceptional precision—symmetry 0° is the key feature—along with 7 different patterns to perform.
