On July 20, 2025, during Expo Café Chile in Santiago, the LAGS National Championship Chile 2025 took place, an official competition of the Latte Art Grading System (LAGS).
The event, organized by Sinergia Lab, saw the participation of professionals, trainers, and enthusiasts, engaged in a full day dedicated to technique, precision, and creativity in latte art, according to the international standards of the LAGS system.
THE COMPETITION
During the day, the third edition of the “THE LAGS BATTLE” tournament was held, granting direct qualification to the LAGS World Final, which will take place in Milan on October 20, 2025, within HostMilano.
Competitors challenged each other following the technical tests required by the system, with particular focus on pouring quality, symmetry, and repeatability—fundamental parameters to obtain LAGS certifications.
🏆 WINNERS OF THE LAGS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CHILE 2025
🟢 1st PLACE GREEN LEVEL: Sony Guineo
Hailing from Puerto Natales, barista Sony Guineo won first place in the Green level category, demonstrating great technique and mastery of the method.
With this victory, Sony earned the right to represent Chile and the Magallanes region at the world final in Milan.
🔴 1st PLACE RED LEVEL: Matías Faúndez
Already the 2023 LAGS World Champion at the Green level in Milan, Matías confirmed his top-level skills by winning again in the Red Pitcher category.
This result confirms Chile’s leading role in the international professional latte art scene.
SINERGIA LAB: EXCELLENCE IN TRAINING
Sinergia Lab managed the complete organization of the event, confirming itself as a key reference point for the spread of the LAGS system in South America and an active promoter of professional coffee culture.
Thanks to a precise and globally recognized format, the LAGS National Championship Chile 2025 was an important occasion for growth and visibility for all participants.
